Rest in the South (Resto al Sud, Italy) is the incentive that supports the birth and development of new businesses and freelancers in Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily, in the seismic crater of Central Italy (Lazio, Marche, Umbria) and in the small marine, lagoon and lake islands of Central-Northern Italy. Aimed at under-56s (no age limit in 24 municipalities of the seismic crater with >50% of buildings declared uninhabitable) and companies in industry, crafts, processing of agricultural products, fishing and aquaculture, services, and tourism. Covers up to 100% of expenses: max loan of EUR 50,000 per applicant (up to EUR 200,000 for companies of four shareholders; EUR 60,000 for individual sole proprietorships), plus a non-repayable grant of EUR 15,000 for sole proprietorships and up to EUR 40,000 for companies. Total budget EUR 1.25 billion, managed by Invitalia. Applications are evaluated chronologically. NOTE: As of 24:00 on 2025-10-14 the application window for this measure (DL 91/2017) has been closed (Circolare DPCoe 37/2025); applications submitted before that date will continue to be evaluated. From 2025-10-15 at 12:00, successor measures ‘Resto al Sud 2.0’ and ‘Autoimpiego Centro-Nord’ (DL 60/2024) are open.
Requisitos

Activities in industry, crafts, processing of agricultural products, fishing and aquaculture, provision of services to businesses and individuals, or tourism. Applications submitted online only, evaluated chronologically within 60 days. Bank financing only from credit institutions adhering to the Invitalia-ABI agreement.
